Prior to forming Oakbrook Corporation in 1987, Mr. Morey was Executive Vice President and Secretary of Madsen Corporation, a mid-Western commercial development and construction business. He was also President of its two operating subsidiaries, Madsen Investment Services, Inc., a licensed securities broker/dealer, and Madsen Mortgage Company, Inc., a mortgage-banking firm. During his 13 years at Madsen, Mr. Morey was responsible for development, financing and financial planning for $400,000,000 in properties developed and/or owned by Madsen. He also supervised the activities of Madsen's developers, real estate agents, securities agents, property managers, and finance directors.
During his career, Mr. Morey has been active as a speaker at seminars on various aspects of real estate and has been a member of the Board of Trustees of the Edgewood Campus Grade School and Edgewood College, a member of the Board of Directors of Downtown Madison, Inc., a member of the Business and Advisory Board of Attic Angels, a member of the Wisconsin Real Estate Alumni Association, and a Gubernatorial appointee to the Wisconsin Multifamily Dwelling Code Council.

Mark Winter has 27 years of experience in the commercial real estate business specializing in investment property sales, acquisition, development and tenant/landlord representation. In addition, Mr. Winter is responsible for overseeing the commercial management and leasing of Oakbrook Corporation’s office portfolio. During his career, Mr. Winter has been involved in brokerage transactions totaling in excess of $400 million. Mr. Winter was one of the founding principals of Oakbrook in 1987, and was Vice President of the Madsen Corporation from 1983 to 1987.
Mr. Winter has been a guest lecturer on commercial real estate topics at various business executive functions, the University of Wisconsin Business School, and the annual First Business Bank Real Estate Forecast forum. He is currently on the boards of HospiceCare Inc. (Chairman) and HospiceCare Holdings. He was a past president of the Commercial Brokers Group and the Far Eastside Business Association. Prior to the formation of the Oakbrook Corporation in 1987, Mr. Klein worked for ten years as Vice President of Madsen Corporation in real estate management, development, and finance. He developed commercial and multi-family housing projects in 30 communities and secured a total of $100 million in mortgage financing for Madsen projects. Mr. Klein was responsible for the start-up, marketing, leasing, and overall management services for residential development. Prior to Oakbrook Corporation, Jake was the Vice President of Development at Pabst Farms Development, a 1,500 acre master planned community. In this role, he managed the underwriting, financing and development of over $100,000,000 of retail, office, industrial, hospitality and residential projects and the entitlement of over 500 acres of land. Before returning to Wisconsin to pursue his MBA, Jake was an Analyst at The Carlyle Group focused on opportunistic real estate projects in the primary institutional markets of the US. Prior to The Carlyle Group, Jake worked in consulting focused on the analysis and risk management of large-scale capital projects throughout the world.

Mr. McConnell has been employed in the building maintenance field since 1982. In 1987 he joined Oakbrook Corporation at its formation as a Maintenance Supervisor in Arlington Heights, Illinois for our Residential Division. In 1989, Mr. McConnell transferred to our Commercial Division as a Maintenance Technician where his responsibilities included the daily operations of seven commercial office buildings. In 1996 he was promoted to Maintenance Supervisor to oversee our entire portfolio of commercial properties in the Madison area. In 2002, he was promoted to Commercial Facilities Manager where his responsibilities included the management of maintenance services for over 1.3 million square feet of commercial space. In 2004, Mr. McConnell was promoted to Senior Commercial Property Manager.

Mr. Lyman began his career as a maintenance technician in 1983 for Madsen Corporation. In 1985 he was promoted to maintenance supervisor and was transferred to Milwaukee where he was responsible for the physical maintenance of a 190-unit garden apartment complex and a 348-unit high-rise property. Mr. Lyman joined Oakbrook at its formation in 1987 and in June 1989 he was transferred back to Madison to supervise the maintenance of commercial properties.
